Hello. I'm here to introduce myself but more importantly my new blog. I took the decision to renovate my house entirely but choose to face my fear head-on and get down and dirty with DIY. I once feared dirt under the fingernails and that noise a scraper creates when scratched against plaster! Not any more. I knew nothing about DIY but while doing a little bit of work I picked up ideas and enough knowledge to provide me with the confidence to do as much work as possible to reduce the amount I spend on professionals. I realised that will little brain-power and a lot of elbow grease*, one can save an awful lot of money and develop a fantastic sense of achievement. I'm inviting you to my blog where I'll document the development of my house providing tips and advice to the millions of like-minded amateur DIY artists out there.
