This Actor Simon Pegg described the Greek island of Kefalonia as his 'perfect holiday destination' in a recent interview with British Airways magazine High Life.
The star of Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead told them he often visited the resort of Skala which he discovered with his wife about eight years ago. "There is a place called The Captain's Bar where my picture is all over the walls," he told them. "The Nikolovienis family, who own the place, have become great friends. They even came over for the premiere of my film Hot Fuzz."Kefalonia is a favourite with property investors and holiday home owners from the UK as mortgages and properties remain relatively inexpensive compared to Britain. They enjoy the relaxed lifestyle, fantastic weather and superb scenery. The largest of the Ionian group of islands, Kefalonia has only really opened-up to tourism in recent years and its very quaintness is what draws people there.
