South Australia Supplies Bollywood 'WOW' Factor

Commanding the biggest budget of any Bollywood movie to date, cinema audiences were in for a treat when Love Story 2050 hit the big screen in the UK last year. It had all the usual ingredients of a Bollywood movie – beautiful stars and settings, heroic battles between good and evil, love and romance, music and dance – only this production was set in the future, and fi lmed on location in South Australia. Set in 2050, the film deals with a couple whose romance crosses time and space, switching between present day South Australia and a futuristic Mumbai.

I was brought up in the Northern Territory. We lived in Darwin, Katherine, Oenpelli, Yuendumu and Bamyili (now called Barunga). I loved going out in the Bush, fishing and horse riding.
