Chaos as airline travelers to and from Italy face delays and cancellations following strike.
The strikers, who are seeking to negotiate their contract renewals, walked out on Thursday forcing Alitalia to cancel more than 250 flights. The 24-hour strike will affect around 30,000 passengers with over 200 domestic flights and 150 international flights stopped.
This comes as yet another blow for the ailing airline after a series of strikes and pretax losses following high fuel costs and budget airline competition.
