BA Announces New Flights to Turkey

baturkeyNew flights to Antalya on Turkey’s Med coast opens up the area for holidaymakers and investors.

Following announcements from British Airways about their new route linking London Gatwick and Antalya International Airport (AYT) along the Mediterranean coast of Turkey, this area is set to become a property hotspot.

Since the route opened on April 10th, the year-round flights have been operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, making this a key time to buy in the area, where prices are still low.

With golf villas costing from €150,000 and beach apartments costing less than €120,000, this is a great area to buy to let as the burgeoning tourism sector takes off.

Antalya is a thriving city with a picturesque harbour and an atmospheric old quarter, while the secluded coves and sparkling bays of the Mediterranean coastline add to the appeal.

The dramatic Taurus Mountain range draws hikers, climbers and nature lovers, while history buffs head for the ancients ruins that pepper the countryside.

In 2007 Antalya, International Airport handled nearly 18 million passengers and these numbers are rising all the time.

With such a variety of diversions on offer, it’s no wonder that BA have decided to add the route, which will add easy accessibility to the list of attractions.
